Forgot 83 and up seatbelts.....I know our 82 birds were different, but 4th gen seatbelts are a direct bolt on with no modifications for us 82s =)

The rear I'm not sure of...are you making a KITT replica?....I say you look for some tan fourth gen belts and see how close they come to the doeskin....the plastics and carpet don't always match perfectly to one another I'm sure getting tan belts from a fourth gen would match enough.

Oh yeah you post at the registries with the same name. I was thinking about it and I'm pretty sure the back would not fit without modifying considering in 82 they were only lap belts as opposed to shoulder belts. I still say you go for fourth gen belts because they'd be in better shape and you wouldn't have to worry about modifying anything.

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
To use the 83-92 thirdgen belts, you'll need to get the small 'L' shaped bracket that the retractor bolts to, which in turn bolts to the spot on the 82 where the original belt attached. You'll also need to get a set of 83-92 doorsill plates, as they had cutouts to clear the retractor.
The rear belts from any 82-88 thirdgen will directly bolt in; 89-92 had the shoulder belts and will require some modification to install.
