Car Shaking
I recently put some wheel adapters on my car and I bought them used and I'm wondering if maybe they are warped? It doesnt do it 90 % of the time but sometimes when I take off about 35 mph my whole car will start shaking hard as hell and if u try to speed up it'll just get worse. You have to literaly pull over and take back off and try it again. It seems that sometimes too if you jerk your wheels one way or the other it will make it go away. Very crazy and seems unexplainable to be, my only guess is the adapters becuase I know my wheels and everything are properly balanced and everything. If any of you have ever had this problem please let me know what to do to fix it...

does it feel like up and down or side to side. What type of adapters are you using. What type of lug nuts are holding the adapters on and what type are holding the wheel on the adapter. It sounds as if the wheel is getting uncentered. Also its a good Idea to get a front end alighnment anytime you go to a different wheel.
If it is an acorn type lug nut you will need to take it off, torque the lug nuts holding the adapter to the car in an x patteren or star what ever you want to call it. start at 15lbs and work your way up after doing all the lugs at each setting to 100 ft/lb of torq.
say 15 45 65 85 100 or so this should center the adapter to the hub, and then do the same with the wheel, I think the torq spec is 100 ft/lb for the stock wheels at least you may want to look up the final torq setting.
