Need help with back seats

I can't get the torx bolts off the black piece that guides the seatbelt...I've tried WD-40 to loosen them but they won't budge at all. Is there any other way to remove the back seat without taking these things off??? I really want to get my 4th gen seats in.

For some reason they have loc-tite on them. I ended up breaking one of the screws off when I did it, but the 4th gens had the brackets on them. You will need a socket style torx bit. Normally I would of just heat the screw and the heat will release the loc-tite, but I was afraid of setting the seat on fire.

Loosen it a turn back it up a half, repeat is what I did, but like I said I broke one of the screws doing it.

Lock-tight? Is that whatever the blue stuff on there is? I got both off of one side now with a lot of dedication...like an hour per bolt. Maybe I'll drive down to the store and buy some rachet style torx.

use alcohol, pour alcohol in the tread arae it will loosen up the locktight, give it some time to do its thing but it will remove the lock tight.

defitanly need a socket style torx no way your gonna get it with a screw driver.

You dont have to take those off to remove the backseats.

You remove the seat belt retractors in the hatch under the plastic paneling and abracadabra... the whole thing comes out, seat belt guide, retractor and backseat all at once.

Well I went and got the torx set for my ratchet and man was that easier. As for the screwdriver I got 2 out with it and the second 2 with the ratchet set...its a good thing you guys are around or I would never get anything done right :hail:
