hood release cable and a question about my hood

hood release cable and a question about my hood

my hood release cable is stretched out how hard is it to replase?

most 3rd gen camaros hoods meet the front part of the car when closed. but mine is rasied up a little bit i was woundering how to fix this problem is the latch or a spring any info will help thanks.

Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 bolt posi (non 1le)
Theres nothing to it. Only hard part is getting under the dash in behind the lever. Other than that you just have to run the cable.

what about the my hood being raised what can i doo abut that the hood is stock

you just have to adjust the latch mechanism. all the spring does is pop it up enough so you can get your fingers in there to open it the rest of the way. I havent done this on an f-body before, but have on other vehicles, so I dont think it would be all that different.
Speaking of which, I need to get my cable and spring replaced someday too.
