Youmight consider a kit from POR-15 if the cancer isn't extensive.

forget the por15 and 157 buck wastes of money......

get a hold of a welder and weld in your own patches (metal is soooo cheap) its better then hiding it with expencive BS!!!
thats the best way!!!!

Por15 is for surface rust not holes!!

I have the same problem, when Im out in the rain I get water and mud on the inside of my rear hatch because I have all the interior ripped out. I found a guy with a parts car and gave him 20 bucks and took a sawzall with me and cut out the whole inner wheel well and spare tire well. Now I just have to cut my rotted section out, clean everything up, and weld it in.

lol funny stuff. ive owned 6 fbodies and only 1 was rusted. mainly because it was from NH. if you lived here youd have to tell em if it was rotted or not. we got a lemon law which is great when your buying a used car

i dont know if we have a law like that in canada, but id just use my own discretion, sure if a floorpan was rusting or rusted out id mention it, but for things like pinholes, c'mon

dont i know it, but see it from my point of veiw, say u are selling a car to someone, a car u know is rust free, but they dont beleive you, are u gonna let them tear the whole interior out before they even buy it just to be sure? i would think not

nah i never ment it like that man. im just saying buying a car with rust for me is a no no. i never said anything about tearing apart a car looking for rust. when im looking at a car, 1st thing i do is look under it. if the floor boards or front end components are rusted, then i check the fenders, quarters, and open the door and feel along the bottom. if i find rust or bubbles, i stand clear of that car.

for fixing rotted panels and such, there is nothing better then buying a new panel or cutting one off another car. this way it will match up perfect unlike a scrap piece of sheet metal or something. to me the body is most important. always start fresh with the body. no point in sinking money into a motor on a rotted car, its eventually going to rot away to nothing. now you have a POS car with 10k under the hood

well yes your right if its a big piece get a panelbut if your good with metal you can make it look just as good as a panel and if your worryied about what others think of your patch jobs then dont sell your car cause buyers always pick stuff out to bi1ch about thats what they do to get you down in price....it will happen regardless of your homeade panels, with can be just if not better then a bought panel.

kontrax where you live ?

my 82 t/a i can fit my boot through the spare well floor, or well where a floor was, and the quarter panel is rotting away missing metal lower and upper both, its from wyoming, and the cars that are original to here are worse than that, i though it had found a pretty clean one, hmm.. compared to all the others left around here, things rust and rot away when you look at them wrong

hohoho im in MA, one of the king states of rotting cars. i feel your pain with this car cancer. i lucked out with the car i have now, bought it off a guy who just moved up here, at the time, from california. i think from now on, all other cars i buy will be from a southern state. ive never seen another car around here in the shape mine is in. i can still read the serial numbers on the floor pans under the car...
