4th gen seat question... (not a "will it fit" ?)
I have a set of '96 SS Leather seats in my 87 IROC. One thing has bothered me since I put them in. The passenger side seat is WAY to far forward, even all the way back. It looks funny its so far forward.
Do all the 4th gen seats do that or is it just mine? Is there a "fix" for it?

Mine out of a 97 goes pretty far back, not sure if it goes as far as the drivers or not though.
Put the track off your 3ed gen seat on the 4th gen seat and that should solve the problem if its the track.

My drivers side is a full 6-way power and the pass is a manual. But I mean, GEEZ, the pass seat almost touches the 98+ cupholder when its pulled out.
Anyone else have this? I mean I look at the pass seat and cringe its so bad! I'm only 6'2" so its not like I am a giant that needs the D/S seat all the way back either.

The seat can still move back an inch or so from where it is in the picture.
Sounds like the track is stuck or something, like I said the seat will fit on the the thirgen rail so use you old rail on the pass seat.

After work today I'm gonna probably take the seat out and check it. If worse comes to worse and I do have to use my old 3rdgen tracks, is there any drawback to doing so? Are they the same tracks or will one seat sit higher than the other?
Just covering all bases here. Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna see if I can get a digital camera to take a pic so you guys can see the seats too.

Just went and checked the car at break. Looks like your seat is a good 3 inches farther back than mine

not positive if there is any height difference in the brackets but I don't think there is. Check the bracket I've had change get in the track etc.
i dunno if this is the same prob i had... but i couldn't get the passenger side holes to line up with the bolts ... so i just put the track on the back bolts and pushed the lever to moved the track forward "the thing for your seat to move back and forth" and i got all of the bolts to line up with the holes...
