Rattles, Squeaks, Headaches, HELP!

I have recently removed all of my interior to paint the panels and possibly replace the carpet. I have been driving the car around lately and man, the squeaks and rattles are driving me NUTS!

When I replace all the carpet, I fully plan on adding a sound deadening material (Dynamat or similar). Is there something I can add or should I just use the Dynamat on the back of the panels or even on the sheet metal underneath the panels?

Any ideas? Aside from the inside noise, my exhaust sound is too overpowering inside the car. Will the added material cancel some of that noise too?

Dynamat is going to absorb alot of intermittent vibration, so it will reduce those squeaks and rattles yes. Put it all underneath your carpet, and then isolate the squeaks and put whatever extra padding you have around those areas. Should reduce a lot of "third gen noise".

Buy some 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch foam rubber and 3m spray glue, put it inbetween all the joints in the dash. Put dynomat under the carpet on the sheet metal, and on the sheet metal under the panels. Get some expanda foam (home depot etc) and spray it into areas you can't get into with foam or dynomat. Grease up the chasis to get rid of chasis noise. Take apart the door panel put a few peices of foam under the rods, oil up all the rods and look for loose parts in the door. Put a few peices of dynomat on the inside of the door.

Makes it alot better.

Be very careful with that stuff, especially if your using it on a body area, it expands randomly and can mess up your body if your not carefull.....I had a friend use this to soundproof his trunk lid and he it ended up with a bunch of bumps/outward dents from the foam expanding.
