Is Fiberglassing hard?

My dad was helping me put a stereo into my car and we only had one problem there was no place to put a stereo in a berlinetta. To solve this we got a console from the junkyard that had the radio and air conditioning mounts. Thats where we ran into another problem, it wouldn't fit in my car. the metal mounting brackets where in the wrong place and the topo of the console wouldnt fit under the dash. so while I was at school my dad did a chop job on the console without my consent. Which wasn't too bad but he used silver metal screws to hold it on. Now I want to cover the whole radeo part in fiberglass to cover all this up. is it hard? what materials are needed?
