ok i've decided to scrap the idea of completly changing the color of my car.....i'm going to go w/ a deeper red w/ possibly some flake in it..................Do you guys think it would look like **** if i didn't do the door jams as they are red and most of our jams are covered up anyhow.......especially if i do the car in close to the same red just w/ some flake in it or osmething........i know its supposed to be done but i don't wanna go through all the bull**** of doing it........I am thinking maybe a boyd red or something like that and it is just the stock color red and the jams have never been painted on.........opinions needed ASAP!

 

no , do the jambs too, the problem is gonna be the engine bay .

 

If you do the door jambs and the area around the hatch (outside of the seal) it should look just fine. The engine bay will look odd BUT it isn't something others will be seeing very often, not like door jambs and the hatch area.

 

Dont be lazy. Get in there and do you door jams cause you know you'll be happier with those being the same color as the rest of the car. I would also take off my fenders and cut those in with the new color and take the hatchback off cause it'll be easier to make sure you get all the areas you need to get.

Cut in the hood as well. I went from silver to silver and I still did my door jams (well they were peeling) my hatch, my hood and the fenders. You'll be happy with it, I promise.

Now get to work, man!
