Fiberglass Hood Install
I have a hood that needs tapping. We weren't sure if there was metal in the hood to tap for the bolts so I took a drill to it and found out that there is. Now I need to tap it and make my own bolt holes. There are little lumps where the bolts are suposed to go so finding the places to drill should be fairly easy.
I'm wondering if there is anything I should know to do this? I'm kind of walking into this blind having never done it before. I have a fair idea, but would like any helpful info or tips.
Also, its a Ram Air 1 hood, and I have a Rotozip bit for fiberglass and cutting the nostrils out should be no problem. My question is where would I find the grills to put in there? And with it being fiberglass, I've heard I shouldn't use the old shocks, as it might break the hood. How would I overcome this?
Thanks for any info in advance.
