Custom door panels
I wanted to make my own door panelsbut i wasnt sure about a material for the backing board. Any suggestions? I'm looking for something that will hold up better than the cardboard.

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get some 1/8" thick fiber board. It looks like the old brown clipboards. It worked great for my door panels when I made a set for my Firebird.

Mine are similar but I wnet for a leather-like appearance and used black leatheratte material. I also kept the metal trim piece and also corrected it's placement to line up better. Mine also has the door cupholders as well. My pictures are too big according to the board. I can email them to you if you'd like.

The original material in my door got wet and has kinda disintegrated along the bottom. What kind of foam would you put behind the fabric?
