Trans am conversions
whats up, well im just wondering how hard is it to bolt on the trans am body kit to a 88 or 89 firebird. Like what tools will i be needing and just tips from your own excperince installing them.

It's pretty straight forward, of course you need to replace the front and rear bumper and depending of year of car you have you might have to replace the front impact bar and honeycomb as well.
For the side lower parts you need to drill holes to fit the "skirts" (English word for it :-) the hardest part will be underneath the doors as that plastic piece (lon runs from front fender to rear wheel well) is attached to a welded bracket with another long bracket screwed into it. If you find a donor car you will see what I mean and you will have to make sure to get all parts as some of the parts are not avalible from GM anymore and whatever is avalible is VERY expensive. It will take you some time to remove everything and you need to take out part of the interior to get to some of the bolts (like there is a bolt on the inside you will reach if you remove the rear speakers and put your hand down there to unbolt it).
You will need ordinary hand tools and a drill, + be able to weld the under door brackets in place.
