4th gen HVAC

Has anyone got the hot/cold selector to funtion with the 4th gen controls? The blower switch works fine, I've found a solution for the A/C to work, but I'm kind of stumped on the hot/cold.

On thirdgen's the hot/cold door is shut or open by a cable that pushes forward or back. On fourthgen, it's a cable that rotates at the end. Plus thirdgen controls have some sort of vacuum on off switch built into the hot/cold.

So, anyone?

So you used Corsica heater controls and an S-10 cable?

I was thinking of using the 4th gen cable, and mounting the rotating end of it to the yellow area in this picture of the hot/cold assembly on the 3rd gen hvac. That would rotate that silver assembly to open the door, and still have the vacuum switch working the same too.
I have to cut it out around the green line and mount it close to the door though.

This may or may not work though. I still don't have the cable and I'm not sure how many degrees it will rotate. The 3rd gen piece looks like it needs to rotate about 60 degrees.

Don't be too confused by what I'm using (though easy.. I forget at times as well lol).
The actual panel for the controls and the blower speed selector are the olny original things left to the panel.
Since it has been awhile since I got the hot/cold selector, I'm not 100% positive it came from a 4thgen (though it's what I recall gettin it from) but, the same selector will screw to the 4thgen hvac panel.
The corsica had an electronic (servo) controlled temp selector which I had to do away with (as it wouldn't function in a 3rdgen). I made a small metal adapter plate to mount the current selector to the corsica panel. The vacuum diverter/selector is from a 4tgen camaro.
The one thing I didn't worry about is the 2nd vacuum selector. It controls the heater control valve and, only diverts coolant when the selector is all the way on cold. My plan just involved doing away with the diverter valve completely to aid in further cleaning up the engin bay. I don't see it being a critical component in making the a/c (which will be non-functional for awhile) work any better than if the diverter were still there and operational.
(hope that makes some sence)
