Ratteling Side View Mirrors

I've worked long and hard to try and eliminate all the squeaks and rattles from my thirdgen and for the most part I have had alot of success.

I have one nagging ratteling problem remaining though; the side view mirrors. They are secured tightly to my door, but the mirror itself is very loose and makes a lot of ratteling noise.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I thought they were supposed to rattle!!!

Seriously though. I'm assuming you've tightened it up with a screwdriver as much as it will go?

They dont rattle if tight. If you got the 10 mm inside the door holding the mirror. Then move around the actual mirror itself behind it is 3 screws phillips head, make sure these are tight. I had the same problem on my 91 rs after i did that it was fine.

Well I have tightended up the 10mm nuts inside the door as much as they can go. But as far as the 3 phillips screws I'm not sure what your talking about.

What he's talking about is this: if you move the mirror itself (not the housing) down as far as it will go so you can see behind it, you will see the screws he's talking about. Does this help?
