Rear view mirror connection?

Rear view mirror connection?
I just bought an Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror and my stock connection to the rear of mirror does not fit in. What do you guys use as far as a connection?
My stock connection is a 3 wire connection and it seems too short and it won't plug in.
Any advise and maybe a pic of modified connection would be appreciated.
