need help putting in new door handle

Hey, my inside door handle broke off on the driver side of my car. I got a new handle but don't know how to put it on. Do I have to take off the entire door panel? If so, how do I take it off? I have an '82 Camaro
Thanks!
Mellissa

yeah a few screws should do it and the retainer clips then it should unbolt, i think 10mm head on the bolt or rivets one of the two. It's not hard to do just make sure the window is up, and you got power windows on it?

You will have to take the door panel off in order to get your hand behind there to put a new screw and nut on. You'll have to drill out the single rivet, take the old handle off, place the new handle on and if your not going to replace it with a rivet, put a screw and a get your hand back there to put the nut on. I used a hex head screw with a small wingnut so i didn't have to get a wrench back there, also a good idea to use locktite on it.

yup, door pannel has to come off, two speed nuts are holding the door handle in place, and you have to undo the metal hook that goes down to the latch on the door, thats all..

Ah, for some reason i was thining interior door handle. Even with the window all the way up you will need to use a wrench. Very easy once the door panel is off.

While on the subject of door handle, how about how to replace the spring on the outside. Mine is gone on both so I do not see how the were on to begin with.
