how to get in my hatch!!!
quick question. someone drilled into my rear hatch keylock and took out my system. Well they tore the hole lock and i cant get my key in or try to open it with a screwdriver or anything else. I would try to work with it inside but not sure what to do. I need to get my hatch open so i can do some work on it but need to know how to open it up! if you guys know anyway on how to open up the hatch i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

Does your Camaro have a power pulldown latch, or just a manual? If it's the power one, the whole motor assembly can be undone from the inside. The only problem is (kind of chicken-and-egg) that you need to be able to get the internal trim panels off first, and the screws that hold down that back panel are mounted just under the hatch. IOW, inaccessible if it's closed.
Have you talked to a locksmith about it?

ok sorry i didnt specify it a little more clearly. Its NOT a power motor hatch. Its a manual one and the sucky thing is that i have a custom box that fits in that hole area and the only way for that thing to come out is to have the hatch open! so its kinda really really hard to get that inside back panel off to get to anything. Im getting frustated and just want to know what i can do before i have to spend an arma and a leg and take to a locksmith or someone else.

You said they drilled out the key cylinder right. Depending on the damage they did, if you look at the very back of the lock there should be a rectangle about 1/4 inch long and even smaller wide, see if you can get a screw driver in there and turn it. Take it by a shop if not, a car shop not a lock smith I bet someone will pop it for free.

WOW, nice form. looks just like my 88 execpt, mine has the form. sticker on the rear and doors, and 5.0 F.I. on the power bulge! Looks like you got a paint job and someone left the badge's off.
Daddy33, stick a small screw driver through the hole they drilled and turn it like a key! That's what the dirty, low life, scum sucking bas***d did when he violated your baby!

What's broke on your center light? You can usually find parts in the bone yard. When mine quit working I found the contact plate
where the light get's it's power was broken. $2.00 fixed it!
