Automated Glove box (non Thirdgen)
Im trying to help a friend with a 76 nova, he put his CD player in a custom box in the glove box, he is sick of having to reach over and open and close the glove box. He was thinking a small electric actuator to do the job with some sort of custom rigging, im trying to convince him to just use a small remote door popper or something along that lines to open it and i can rig a small hydrualic piston to slow it down and stop it at the right distance, but he really wants to be able to hit a button and have the glove box close..... does anyone have any ideas?
thanks

If he's willing to spend some money on it, you could always go with a 12v linear actuator:
Ebay
I'd bet the 4" or 6" stroke would be plenty.
