Seats
OK, first off, I did a search and read many good posts.
But the biggest concern I have is comfort and quality. I really don't want to spend a whole lot of money on the seats for the really killer looking seats like, Cobra or Sparco. I know you get what you pay for, but I just can't spend over $1000 on seats. I like the looks and the prices of the Corbeau seats that Thunder lists. Anyone with those chime in and tell me what you think??
Also, I searched around on the net and came across a seat at www.airdynamicracing.com
I was looking at the AXE II. I like the price but I have doubts about quality. Anyone know anything about those??
Anyone with any suggestions on places online to look at seats, any suggestions for good quality, comfortable seats, let me know...
BTW, my car is going to be seeing very little use starting in about 2 months, I am going into the Marines. It will just live at home in the garage and my parents will drive it infrequently. My stock seats look like hell kicked their ***!!!!

Install? They should come with sliders, if ya order from that company make sure they do, then just chisel off your old seat brackets or get some from the junkyard, take the brackets to a welder with your car so he can measure where to weld the old brakcets to the new sliders. Thats it, shouldn't cost you more than $20 for a welder to do that. Then they jsut bolt on.
Had them for about 3-4 months, they've just recently been installed and are very confortable, I had them in my room and would sit in them when watching tv lol. Thier great seats, only gripe is just like other racing seats thier pretty tall, but thats all seats of those style.

Cool deal. I can save a few bucks and install them quickly because I have a welder in my garage. Thanks for the info...
I just thought of one more question. You mentioned that the seats are tall. Do you mean the back? Or do you mean that they sit higher?

Thanks for the info guys. I went over to look at ebay. Holy chit, i searched "seats" on ebay motors and I got 50 pages of seats. I put a bid on a pair of killer looking JDM type r seats. Funny thing was when I ran a search on the internet for "JDM seats" that AirDynamics company came up as one of the first hits...I guess they are about the same thing. They sure do look similar...Price is right to, 260 for the pair plus about 100 for shipping...
i'll sell you my almost brand new corbeau trs leathers for $800 for the pair....shipping probably wouldn't be fun though.
$1,000 even and i'll throw in the $320 pair of 3" cam lock corbeau harnesses.

i like them, they work well and feel nice. however i recently came across a really good deal on a set of brides that are normally $3000 for a pair and couldn't pass them up. one things for sure try to sit in them if you can. i loved some of the cobra and reccaro seats but they weren't that comfortable to me. i really liked the sparcos but they are a bit pricey for what they are.

I was looking at the Sparco Milano on a website that sells high end seats. They are so pretty, covered in black and grey suede!!! But at 900 a piece, that is out of my price range, maybe in a few years, plus I have a 4000 bill coming on my car for the collosion and paint repairs. That's putting a hurtin' on my checking account this month!!!
BTW, Kandied, I saw a pic of the corbeaus in your car and they look killer. Post pics of those new one once you get them in if you please...
