82-92 Camaro flat hood. This is fiberglass replica of original GM hood. Attaches to hinges in the back and hood pins can be used in the front. Full inner bracing for maximum support. Center of hood can be cut for blower or scoop can be molded in. See #C-492 for front latch style.

Look at the junkyard. GM put a fibreglass hood on '82 and most '83 Z28 Camaros.
They look great (ram air-ish Z28 style hood), weigh almost nothing, and if you don't mention its fibreglass, you can get them for dirt cheap. A guy at a local yard here bought one for $20 Canadian, in the same great shape as mine.
And $20 Canadian... thats like $.25 to you Americans

Yep, i have one of those on my car.
IIRC, they were discontinued in 84 and only came on the Z-28's. They are pretty lightweight. Hood struts last a long time. here's mine (82 Z-28):

Yup, thats exactly how the 'glass hood on my '83 looks. Weighs almost nothing... my hood struts were off for awhile, and it was still no chore to hold up the hood by hand.
