Paging Brad Noon! (If your still around)
Hey man, a fellow CEGer here. Have you thought about making some custom stuff for the third gens like you did for the Ford Contour? I remember wanting all that stuff you made before my Contour died and I was wondering if you wanted to apply your craft to the third gens for us.

You know there are such things as search and PM's here too! LOL! Same bnoon user name...
I haven't gone down those roads here yet and don't really plan to on the same level as I did for the Contour/Cougar platform, simply because I don't have to help create an aftermarket for the F-bodies... it's already there.
That doesn't mean that I gave up the DIY attitude though. I tune my own chips, make my own subframe connectors, homemade trailing arms and panhard rod, homemade steering brace (wonderbar-esque), and will be making a strut tower brace as soon as I do my 305 LT1 intake engine build. All of the suspension parts will be going on when I get some adjustable Koni's near fall so that I can install it all at once. Look for a write up in the fabrication section once it's all done.
These cars are cheap compared to many others out there. I should have less than 5 grand into this car once it's done and it will get a heck of a lot more *street* respect than my low 14 second Contour ever did.
Just to get this thread some sort of body/interior aspect, here's a pic of my interior I finished recently...

Looks good man! Are those the the covers from Hawks or Mr. Mikes? I need to redo my interior as well. Didn't you used to make those aluminum sill plates for the contour? Something like that would be cool for the third gens. Both of mine is craked and according to F-Body Motorsports and Chevy they only make the left(or right, I forgot) side now.

Those are Hawks Hampton Vinyl, ebony outer with perforated Hampton vinyl titainium inners.
Yes, I used to make very expensive custom etched sill plates for the Contours (mostly the SVT's with build numbers/etc.). I don't do it anymore due to low volume. We tried a lower cost alternative, but the quality just wasn't there.
It's doubtfull that something like that would fit these cars because of the F-bodies having low clearance between the door and rocker already, especially on cars with ground effects pieces taking up most of that room.
