Rear view mirror fell off

Rear view mirror fell off

my rear view mirror came un attached from the windshield...is there any way to re-attach it...well just for now cause i already need a new one but im going to have to put one on the new windshield anyways..would super glue work ?

They sell rearview mirror adhesive kits. I know because mine fell off a few weeks ago

They sell glue just for that purpose, superglue won't last more than a couple weeks. Keep in mind you don't glue the whole mirror on, the is a "clip" you glue on then slide the mirror into that. If you do the whole mirror you will have to sit there holding it up like an idiot.

lol...that sounds like something i would do.. sit there for hours...but how much much does the glue go for

A couple bucks for the whole kit, usually includes a little scotch brite pad or something to clean off the old glue, an alcohol wipe to clean both surfaces and a couple of tubes of epoxy.

lol i can see my slef holding it there for like an hour then have my hand stuck to it...but how much does the glue go for and where can i get it

There are a couple of brands and styles of glue. The one I have the best luck with was from PepBoys. I keep an extra packet in my "parts bin" just in case.
