I removed my a pillars to replace them and on the drivers side a long wire fell out which ran from down by the under dash up the a pillar. It dosen't attach to anything because it has a clear plastic finished end. Anyone know what this is ???

I believe the wire you are talking about is an accesory wire that is used for interior lighting or an over head console. If they are already wired up, i would say you are not the first person to be digging around in behind the cover and this is not a stock wire, try following it to the panel, see what it connects to on the other end in the dash

the only wire that i know of in that location is for the dome light. They may run wire there for the map lights mounted on the rearview mirror of some 3rd gens also. In my 84TA, someone had a wire running there for an alarm accessory that appears to be a tiny speaker. If all your interior lighting is working, it probably was something rigged by a previous owner.
