a-pillar repair
problem is, mine is rusted in the bottom corner of the drivers side, I am thinking section the bad boy, whats everyones thoughts on this??

It's amazing how many I've seen rusted there.
How bad is yours? I would think making a new piece out of flat tin and welding it into place would be easier than sectioning it, but if it's bad enough then drastic measures might be in order.

it is just the outer skin that is killed, so replacing the face with some carefully formed steel and a little fibreglass majic should not be that bad, my only concern is body arc in that location breaking the fibreglass!
I just did this repair on mine. I think it mainly happens on the car that have T-tops. The tops of the pilliar is open or rusts open and the water runs down and has nowhere to go. I just cut the top skin and welded an new piece of sheet metal on. Was a relatively easy fix. I wouldn't suggest sectioning though. The inside is built really well and didn't see alot of rust inside. I pulled the foam out and sprayed with some RustX then packed some new foam in and welded it together
