My bird got injured

I was driving down the street saturday morning and my dad's lawyer backed into the side of my car with his 2004 Tahoe. He had one of those aluminum luggage racks that go into the tow hitch reciever, and it left a good 3/4" to an inch deep gash down the door, rear passenger side quarter, across my tire, and slightly bent the rim. He told the cop it was completely his fault because he wasn't used to driving with it on there. He is going to pay for the damage to the car being as he does not want it to go onto his insurance. He told my about his old Monte Carlo and how he got rear ended by a school bus and how much he missed his car after it was totalled out by insurance, so he said I am to give my estimate to his secretary because he will be gone this whole next week, and he will cut me a check.

at least it was him and not some stranger... sounds like you're going to get taken care of.

hope the repair goes smooth.

Make sure you have the alignment of the rearend checked to see if maybe it got pushed over when he hit the wheel.

I went and got 2 estimates, and they both are about 1,200 bucks, so atleast my car is going to get fixed.

Does the phrase "nice lawyer" make anyone else think "oxymoron"? :lala:

Sweet that you're getting it fixed, though
