A/C controls to non-A/C controls

A/C controls to non-A/C controls
Can I remove my hvac controls with a/c and replace it with a non a/c controls without any modifications?
On my 90 Formula the A/C controls were vacuum actuated and the non A/C ones i used were out of a 92 Firebird were cable driven. so iahd to swap it all over. i had the interior apart anyway so it was just a extra hour of work.
