Power locks only jolt

Car: '82 trans am (w/ t-top)

Engine: 5.0L 305 H

Transmission: automatic

Power locks only jolt

If i push the power lock button the locks make the noise like they're locking and the manual locks jolt, but they dont lock! What's up with that?
I could really use an answer before I reattach the door panels, please. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Clean then lube the hasp that grabs the post on the doorjamb.

Axle/Gears: Limited Slip 3.23's

Clean and relube (white grease) everything to include the window tracks. Not only with the locks perform as designed but the windows will open and close a bit quicker. Also, while you're in the door, you might consider some of the following:
