Hatch trim carpet
Hello,
My plastic pannels in the rear hatch are kind of faded and I wanted to re dye them. Also, the carpeting on the sides is looking kind of ratty. I was wondering if anyone has ever redone the carpeting on the sides. Is there replacements or would I just get some carpeting and cut it the same shape as the original and glue it back. I've looked in just about every firebird catalog there is and there doesn't seem to be replacements for an '82.

Good luck with painting the trim panels, you need to do some good work on those to get them to dye nicely and stay for that way for more than a year. Clean it really well with alchohol or ammonia or something, and use a really good dye I think is the general consesus on how that should be done.
As fo your carpet, there was a thread yesterday where a guy took his carpet out and soaked it in or sprayed it with 409 and it turned out pretty well.
