Hey I have searched the boards and cant seam to find anything on it but has anyone been able to get a fourth gen climate control to work in a third gen? I only ask this because I want to do a forth gen dash swap and still want to keep my ac and heat. Thanks

 

I just put in a 4thgen dash. I don't have all the wiring yet for the HVAC so I just used my old one for now so thats an option. You can see there is a space around it, but you can get a piece of sheet metal and make a plate to take up the space and paint it black. Thats what I was going to do but i plan on getting the rest of the wiring soon so Ill just keep it like it is for now. But yes, people have been able to get the 4thgen HVAC to work. There are a few posts out there with most of the info on how to do it.

 

The only problem with the 4th gen climate control is where the hot cold cable hooks up. They are different so you will have to ENGINEER something. The vaccuum control head mounts up the same.
