I got a free set of TA indiglo gauge overlays for my car, but the problem is I have no instructions on how to install them, I can easily figure out the wiring bymeself, but I am having more of an issue on how to actually get them on the gauge, do they slide over the needle or do I have to pull the needles out???
They're the MakotoAuto Trends brand on Ebay if it helps any.

I have a set of those as well that came with no instructions (maybe there's a trend forming here...hmmmm?)
Near as I could figure them out, there were two choices - remove the original face, and pop the new one on, or put the newone on top of the original. It looks like the two for the oil/water and fuel/voltage could be slid around the needles and screwed on, but I removed the faces and had a hard time getting those 4 needles re-aligned because they don't have any stopping pin like the tach and speedo do; with the original face off, they'll just spin completely around. It's probably best to mark their position with the key on before tearing them apart. The speedo and tach can easily be 'zeroed'.
I had to tear deeper into the tach, because the mounting holes on the new face didn't line up with the original ones, but once I dug in, I found I could swap a couple of screws around to make it line up fine.
After I got them in, I didn't care for the bluish color at night, so I put the stock ones back in. Kinda glad I had a spare cluster to mount them on, and keep the original one untouched...

you should be able to slide them over the speedo and tach. As for the other 2 put the needle on like 40 or 60, just something you'll remember, pull it then slide it over the other. I would think removing the voltage since it's always at the same and the oil pressure when the cars idling and warm is always the same would be the easier gauges to put back on.
I just slid them over the needles, they look awesome.
Only problem is I have the older 85 mph speedo and none of the needles can move because the overlays are pressed against them. I'm guessing the newer 140mph speedo clusters dont have a small bowl/lip around the edges of the gauges?? When I read the description is said 82-92 TA, now I see the quoted "with 140 mphs speedo" lol.
Well I guess I'm changing out to the 140 cluster. Do you guys have any problems like this?? also Can you trim the clear area of the overlay?
