Does 91-92 formula nose fit 89? (did a search)

I searched but didn't find a definitive answer. If it's possible are the fenders the same or do those need to be 91-92. Crunched the front end and the passenger fender yesterday and need to replace.

Thanks.

Sure, but you will need to replace the headlamps as well, along with the bumper support...

think you can get away w/ leaving the headlamp setup. Bumper support will need to be changed mostlikely (the foam backing) because of the new shape, but the actual supprot should be fine also. Apparently the headlamp door style is exactly the same between the later and earlier model cars, but the "decoration" changed. (pontiac written on top instead of glued to the door inside)

The headlight doors are the same size and 3 of the mounting holes are the same 1 is not. i have a 92 Firebird drivers side headlight door on my 90 and had to modify (remove) one of the mounting holes to get it to fit the 82-90 headlight assembly, but you should just need the frame around the headlight for a 91-92 car. Also the front cover and support will need to be changed. the fenders are the same.

Thank you for the replies. I figured everything behind the nose would be different, just wasn't for sure on the headlight setup.

Thanks!

The black plastic piece on the headlights will need to be changed, they are not the same.

I think at least one of you guys are confusing bumper support with the Impact Absorber.

EDIT: Classic Industries has two different Impact Bars listed in their catalog, one for 85-90 and the other 91-97. I do not know if this means that the Impact Bar is different between the two - from the picture the 85-90 looks to be a little more curved toward the end - and I don't know if this needs to be repolaced as well. Could be a misprint.

You can't just change the trim rings on the headlights because the headlights themselves are a different size.

Here is all the info you need:
