Replacing Gear Nut for Trunk Motor

Can someone explain to me the steps necessary to replace the gear nut for the power trunk motor? I did a search but did not come up with anything. Thanks.

Maybe this will help. Lon has excellent parts. I have his Wonder Bar, hinge repair kit and hatch rebuild kit. Great instructions also.

if you want to keep the electric motor assembly go ahead, but it sounds like you have the same problem i had...all i did tho was take the whole motor off, and it is sitting on rails ya know, well i lined up the hatch and the rear quarter panel flush, and welded the braket, so it is now fixed...all i gotta do now is hit the switch, and it pops...works out great!!!
