Question about removing/shaving factory antenna
I like the 'clean' look of not having an antenna sticking out of the passenger front fender. Anyway, after I get the car ready for paint and stuff, I was thinking about removing it or shaving it if you will. Take the old antenna out, put a metal patch panel over it weld it in and then smooth it out. Only problem is that I like my radio too so how do I get around this? Is there a way to remove the factory antenna, but still have the ability to pick up radio stations? Can a remote antenna be mounted somewhere discretely and unnoticeable? Any opinions/suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Paul Moore

y dont u use 1 of those retractable antennas that after and b4 use it moves up and down. save the radio and the body work. Although it is a smaller area it is still annoying.

i had mine shaved a while ago. i havent put the antenna back in the car yet, but when i do im just going to run the stock metal antenna under my dash pad. Many people have put it there and get great reception.
Shave it, it looks 100% cleaner
