having problems with my SS Hood...

having problems with my SS Hood...

I just got my car back from the painters.....pics coming soon!!! I promise....

anyway the painter could not put on the little grill on the Hood. I looked at it and I also tried putting it in. I had no real luck with it.
I really don't want to try forcing it untill I have too. I rather hear from the wonderful minds at the site. the grill is too large I can get it in but it just hangs there inside the hole sliding side to side.

the grill should just pop right in....atleast....mine did. I eventually made a new grill though

hmm...the way I can explain it is if I sit it flush with the opening it is too big (tall) if I try to slide it in then it will go totally through and sit in that little pocket and slide side buy side. I will take some pics and try to post them today. pics of the car should come today too. I had no time last night to take pics of anything.
