Weather Stripping

i was wondering if there's a way to kinda re-inflate the weather stripping on the doors? mine has a small crease in it, and it causes the window to stick out about 1/4" or so when i close the door and it's up all the way. to make it seal flush , i have to drop the window below the crease, then raise it up again, this works well because the crease now actually holds it to the window tighter, but i can do this after i'm already out of my car. i was once told i could try injecting air into them with a needle or something similiar, does this work, or sound like it will work? although no water or anything really gets in this small space left between the door and the w/s, it just annoys me to look at. i also think it would make it easier to brake into the car, because you don't exactly have to pull the window back anymore, it does it on it's own, haha. i'm just hoping there's a way to fix this small problem without having to buy a complete new piece of w/s, because that stuff sure is expensive.

Clifton NJ? Is your car green with gold stripes?

Anyway, injecting air will not do anything except rip up the weatherstrip most likely. You could try giving the weatherstrip a treatment of spray silicone every couple of days. It should eventually regain some of its original shape and allow the door to close normally, but it won't completely restore it. I had the same problem with the t-top weatherstrip getting caught in the window, and it took a couple weeks of spraying it down every few days to get it to close normally.
