Door Mirror Glass
Is it hard to replace the mirror section on door mirror. I am thinking of replacing my driver side mirror section and am wondering is it difficult to take it out. My mirrors are manual so will a mirror from an electric door mirror fit okay.
Thanks.
Thanks.

on the passenger side is easier to replace the whole mirror,on the driver's side its harder due to the adjustment cable,if you just want to replace the mirror element you'll have to be very careful not to distort the section where the mirror attaches to.

Is the mirror element the same on manual and electric mirrors. Is the motor for electric windows in the mirror or in the door.
Thanks

On the manual mirrors the glass and mounting bracket are held in by 3 torx screws (t-10 or 15 i don't recall). the passenger side is cake can be swapped out in like 2-3 minutes. The driver side (as previously stated) has the adjustment cable attached so you will need to remove the piece where the adjuster comes into the interior door panel and remove the flat metal clip that holds it in place, it actually would be easier to remove the whole door panel to fish the cable out wiht the old and in with the new.
And the power mirrors are different.
