Console repair

The sides of my console are coming apart on either side about where the shifter and hand brake are. It really looks like crap and I want to fix it. What kind of adhesive can I use to stick it back together?

Well what I did when this happened to my 3rdgen console was take the shifter plate off, and then get some t-top/weatherstrip adhesive and put some in between the separating parts, then got like a couple pieces of wood (2x4), put those on the sides and a huge c-clamp to compress the console and leave it for at least 24 hrs.
