Anyone know what the ACC replacement floor mat color is for an 87 IROC with medium gray interior? Exterior color is bright blue metallic. Car is Van Nuys. Seats are custom cloth.

I have a new set from Hawks (ACC). They are dove gray and appear to be darker than original. Unfortunately I have car in storage and can not compare. My current reference is a single mat that I thought was a GM original. I recall that the single mat matched my carpet exactly.

I don't think the difference is enough to return them, but want to make sure dove gray is best match.

Keep in mind the color on your original mat and carpet on your car has faded over time. I ran into this on my 88. I actually had a new gm carpet piece and realized that my original carpet had faded over time to no longer match perfectly.

I think you may be right. The sample mat I have was not originally from my car. And I think it has some fade. Also I've observed that when I try to fluff some life back into the old mat it reflects light less (darker). The light reflects less off the new mats because the strands are vertical.

The quality of the Hawks mats is excellent. And the price was right at $90.
