Gap between hood and front bumper

I have a 3/4 inch gap between my hood and the front bumper. I've already adjusted the hood latch and stop bumpers, and stuff like that already. My question is, is there any way to adjust the entire front clip up? I saw from under the car that at least two of the supports have slots.

Thanks for the help!!!

There is a bracket right in the center behind the bumper under the plastic cover that goes around the hood latch.Remove the cover & loosen the 2 nuts in the center right behind the bumper. There are also 4 bolts at each side.Just inside the headlamps on small brackets.Loosen those then lift on the center of the headlamp fiberglass bar.Tighten the nuts & check the gap.Youll have to play with the adjustment & maybe get someone to tighten the bolts/nuts while you hold the headlamp bar.

yeah 84 but if u think about it....

YOUR HOOD shouldnt go below your fenders! as i mean they should stay flush.. its cause the car was in an accident and the front buckled thats what it is...

im just gunna get a whole new front end later on when i re do the whole car when like everythings done to it that i want.. i shoved like towels under and it brung it up a bit..

You DONT lower the hood to reduce the gap.You WANT to raise the bumper(center part) to bring it closer to the hood.Thereby minimizing that gap.

OK, here's an update. I adjusted the bracket the way 84 1LE described and it reduced the gap by about 1/4". I then loosened the four bolts that connect the crash bar onto the frame rails and used a jack, and a 5 lb hammer and knocked the front up another 1/4". So in order to get rid of the last 1/4" I used 90 Firebird's idea and shimmed the front lip with some metal washers.

So I kindof fixed it, and sortof rigged it too. But thanks to everyone who helped

i had a small problem like that when I installed my SS hood...what I did was cut a few coils out of the spring under the hood...and it worked great..no gap at all
