Help! broke a stud!

Ok, dumb *** me didnt check to make sure the ratchet wrench was still set for loosening after taking out the passenger seat so i tightened the 1st nut on the driver side and snapped the sumbitch off! What can i do to fix this? Welding a new stud in would probaby the best option. but i am not really in a place that can support the amps that a welder needs . Any other options? Could I drill it out and put a bolt through there?

cut the stud off flush with the floor, drill it out and replace it with a grade 8 bolt and large washer. once tight i would tack weld the bolt to the washer and the washer to the floor for future convienience. Make sure to use a strong bolt!!!
