the milano alcantra since the prestige only comes in leather.. beautiful seat and great material. very heavy though at 40lbs.

the recaro sport... would like the speed version to use the 5 pt. harness but i like how the sport has the adjustable seat cushion extension to support longer legs since i'm taller. this is the main reason why i would like the prestige over the alcantra version of the milano but no leather this time around.
so pick your favorite and why or say nothing..

both are $800 a seat. both have the same reclining, dual locking mechanism and double sided release tilt setup. only difference is style, weight and seat extension on the recaro sport.

they both look like nice seats....and really...the 2 look very similar....either brand would look fine.

I like the Recaro better. It looks cleaner and is not as heavy I am sure. I can't stand that huge SPARCO logo on the milano, that is why I did not buy them!

By first looks the Recaro has a more high quality look to it. If that is the case, I don't know - but that would definitely be my choice judging strictly by looks.

Hard to judge with those pictures, but I like the first one better...minus the logo...unless you can get some kind of sponsor for whoring them out.
true it isn't best to judge by a picture and weight isn't that important however when your talking almost twice as heavy then it matters just from the stand point of taking them in and out as well as shipping costs.
the sparco logo can be optioned off the seat... however after the deal with corbeau and not having corbeau on the seat i got tired of people asking if they were summit seats that i was disguising. you pay for the name so i want the name somewhere on the seat.
as far as the two it's definately a tough choice as they are near identical. the recaro has the lead right now with the extendable leg area of the cushion. i'm heading out to their warehouse here in michigan to get an actual feel for the seat to make a decision. sparco comes on a boat from italy and all the suppliers are out of milano in black so it would take 60 days before i get those.

as far as sponsorships go... no one will touch a thirdgen. recaro added they are booked with their oem applications and recent american classics used for sema. sparco made it a point that they lean toward import vehicles and cobra physically told me that they didn't want their seat in a late model camaro.
if i hadn't already had corbeau i'd try them again just because of these companies and their logic. as of now though recaro has the upper hand. for $200 more the seat also comes with air conditioning and heating elements.

The Recaros don't look bad though. You'll know more once you sit in them.True Sparco does lean toward the Euro/Import crowd. Corbeau is pretty good to deal with and they have a U.S. warehouse, but I had a set of GT8 high backs long ago and didn't care for the short life of the fabric. I've also seen the TRS start coming apart, so I'm soured on Corbeau seats.
milano
i like the milanos better. i think they look better as a whole seat. that other seat looks kinda cheesy to me. i dont care for the huge sparco lettering.....but that could be removed. just my opinion.

The Milano without the logo. Seems to remind me of a wrc race car. Plus the alcantra seems more exotic than leather, you see leather saets in SO many cars. That or cloth. Alcantra seems racy and hi-performance

i like the racaro better, smaller seat belt holes, looks like larger side bolsters and larger lower padding. a little more meaty looking, sparco always pops honda and toyota tuner cars in my mind. not a bad thing but i like something that the import tuner would not have at every street corner or car show.

i have the recar sports and i can say that theses seats are way more comfortable than sparco or momo or any other company. I found that the sparco seats get uncomfortable after a while. the seats can be very expensive because they are just bear seats,no brackets or sliders, stock sliders dont work by the way. i had to get custom seat brackets from a place out of long beach called www.wedgeengineering.net. Although i made out pretty good in the end the seats were suppose to cost me $1500.00 for both, i waited 5 months and i got both for $857.00 which is cost. The sparco seats will cheaper but u will still run into the problem with sliders and brackets. you can use your stock brackets but they have to be heavly modded and in the end u will sit really high. here is a picture of one of my seats, my seats where custom made i got a combo that u can't normally get.--->

Sit in both for a while, and if you get the opportunity, drive a vehicle with each. It will be a much easier decision.
Recaro gets my vote and I especially like the adjustable seat cushion extension.

$850 for both?? hmm that's pretty good considering their employee cost is $450 a seat. where did you get them from and was it a special deal? did y;ou buy them used?
what material is that as well as i'm looking at the black suede and black leather sportline version. they look nice, i was able to go to their warehouse today and they are indeed more comfortable then sparco or corbeau however they are more of a oem type seat as they would not be good for actual auto-x of any kind. reguardless though they are the most comfortable so far and look like the most promising choice.
also, that link that is posted. how much were their brackets? recaro wants $120 for the pair for their factory brackets for our cars.

I would go with Recaro. I have a set of the SRD-Speed seats (somewhat cheaper than the Sport) and they are very comfortable!

I too,
Vote for the Recaros!
I have them in my 1981 modified Turbo Trans Am, and I love them! Granted, my are full powered with speakers in the headrest, but the name Recaro says it all!

I think the recaros are much more tasteful looking. The sparcos look like they belong in a honda.

Both great looking seats. I would say it depends on the overall look your going with for the interior. The Sparco's have more of a racey feel, and the Recaro's look a bit more luxurious. Also have to consider which material best matches the interior of the car... But all that aside I think I actually like the Sparco's a bit better...
