Converting yellow to white...

I want to change the yellow lettering and stuff in my car to white lettering. I don't a search but didn't find to much on this, anyone ever done this, tips, and such on how to do it? perhaps even a few pictures to see what it looks like.

Thanks.

Probably the easiest solution is to get parts from an 82-89 Camaro since they used white lettering. HVAC, gear shift plate (if you have an auto and want the gear indicator function you need an 88-89), turn signal lever, hazard switch, fog light switch, rear defroster, hood release, etc...The only peices that will cause trouble as far as I know are the gauges (would love for someone to come up with a way to use keep black faces and have white numbers), headlight **** and cig lighter. For the headlight **** and cig lighter you could use one from an older Camaro (I think it'll fit), but the shape is different (not as rounded).

Well the gauges was what I am worried about the most. Thought about taking the gauges to a sign shop and having vinly ones done up, or try to do it myself on photo paper or something. Really don't want to remove the needles though.

Thanks for the information.

If you are not dead set on black faces you can also just try an overlay with white or silver faces and different colored numbers. I was looking at a set of silver ones with nice reverse indiglo blue numbers, but in the end I decided I just like black faces best. I am taking the hard way to solve the problem...get a firebird!

I like the stock gauges, I also like the autometers to, but I think in my RS I may just go with the stock stlye gauges. I just want black with white lettering, the though of autometer crossed my mind.

the way i was thinking of doing it was to get a Z28 gauge pod, get the overlays made and then install it. could also do the autometers, knowing me though i probably find something i want to fix there as well.

Again thanks for your help.
