new interior w/ fourth gen front seats! PICS!
well got my new interior done. did a red to gray swap. here are a few before pics:

I redid the door panels/headline/sailpanels myself with headliner material. i thought that the door panels might look a little cheasy and cheap doing it that way but it turned out great!
here are some after pics:

tell me where i should place my fire extinguisher.

You did a great job and the interior is no longer that brash '80's in your face styling. Great job man. Your car looks a billion times better now.

thanks so much guys, it took a while to get all the parts up for the swap. got MOST of it all from the salvage yard down the street from me. the carpet is light grey in the front and it's from ACC. it's really nice and very lightweight. it's brand new but it was sitting around the shop. my dad bought it and decided he didn't need it and never returned it, so i got a brand new carpet for the front for free. the back is out of a 91 camaro rs from the yard. it is a bit darker in color and is actually quite worn. i plan to replace it with another ACC (matching color AND lighter weight!) when i get the money. the seats were the biggest steal of them all. they came out of a 95 6 cylinder camaro with t-tops. the t-tops had been gone for a while and the seats were pretty nasty. the guy at the door wanted $20 for the pair so i figured, "hey, they got no holes, might as well give it a try!" so i took them home and threw the covers in the washer, came out prestine. can't beat that with a stick. i am so glad this car is starting to come together. gonna paint the new Champion Fiberglass Products 3" cowl hood soon too, but gotta get the cash. i am getting surgery on my shoulder next week and i won't be able to do anything on the car for a WHILE (like 2-3 months) so i figured i better get it all done. Project "giterdone" as i have been calling it lately. LOL! pic of the new hood:

i never really like the stock red interiors and that gray interior looks much much better. If my seats start to fall apart anytime soon, my car is going to get some 4th gen seats. Nice Job!

not hard at all, just time consuming, took me about 3 days to get all the stuff switched over and get all the little gray screws and caps and convers and stuff. the little stuff was kinda hard to find too.
i put a spoiler back on the car too, hope to get the hatch realigned and get some pics of that soon. went with a non third brake light spoiler though, got tired of the big third brake light spoiler, i think that's why i took it off in the first place. now it has one of the smaller thinner versions. very stubtle change, yet tastefully factory.
thanks for the wishes on the shoulder surgery. i am a little nervous, but once it's done, my shoulder won't dislocate any more.

Yeah, the interior looks pretty sharp. Better then the faded red. Though, red guts look good in some 3rd's. Your's just happens to look better this way. You say you put a spoiler back on?? Meh, I liked it without better. Round my parts, it's rare to see a spoiler-less 3rd. Still playing with the idea of ridding my 'Bird of the pedestal spoiler all together (unless I can find a decently priced '91-'92 wrap-around sometime
). Anyways, nice car.
