Truck bed liner
A few days ago I layed some Truck bed liner down on my floor boards to protect from rust. Its pretty easy to do and only takes a few hours. Here are the items I used. 1 Gallon of truck bed liner $40, Pan, Roller and brush $10, Sandpaper and primer for the little bit of rust I had. Start off by removing the interior and then sanding down any rust spots you have the spray them with a rust converter. Once thats done just lay down the liner. Here is a pic.

That is awesome! I'll bet it will shut out a lot of road noise.
How about putting some on the bottom to protect both sides of the pans?

It has been a while since you coated your floors, so I am wondering how well it worked. Did you put carpet over the floor?
I am ordering new floor boards. I plan on using truck bed liner. If there isn't significant noise reduction, then I am going with peal and seal with carpeting.
I don't plan to put carpeting over the bed liner, so I am wondering if the sound was significantly better.
Tell me your results.
Thanks

Im interested in this as well. My carpet has always been a hinderance so if I could eliminate it for something usefull like bedliner, im all for it. What would you do for wire placement, etc as I've quite a few lines running under the carpet? I was thinking of something along the lines of a cable tunnel...

I'm just finishing this sort of task myself. I painted the floor (POR-15 sorta stuff, Rust-Not by plastiKote). Then peel-n-seal, then asphault based undercoating to fill in missed areas of peel-n-seal, plus on the underside of the car.
The stuff I used doesn't dry hard, but remains flexible, so it's a really good undercoating that isn't effected by rocks...

you can put it on as thick as you want, 1/8"-1/4" say. I bought a 4kg "gallon" jug of the stuff, that'll do me for the car I imagine...
smear it on with a bondo spatula sorta stuff.
