17" cragar ss

Has anyone seen or have pics of a 3rd gen with 17" cragar SS' on them. I think those would look great but I'm not %100 sold. I have looked all over the web and can't find a thing. I could photoshop it but I would like to see the real deal.

I know you said no photoshop, but I couldn't resist letting everyone know about this cool wheel simulator on pepboys.com. It is pretty fun to play with and there are a few f-bods on there too...

Man those do look weird! I was really liking the look of those after seeing the first pics of them. But man, those last ones look cheap! Like you said, looks loke a 14" center welded into a bigger rim. Kind of likw how the 17" rallys look. Same center, bigger lip.

17s cant look much bigger, i loved these rims and they are still alright but my car would look a lot better in some 17" TT2s...

How do you know if your getting a 17 or a 14 with a 17 center, if you where to order them? I never see them listed like that, only in the size.

But wait, there's more.

[VU]Juan's car seems to have custom made Cragars. They are not available like that to my knowledge, and I researched these things for a long time before I bought mine.

BumpaD82's car has the standard 17" Cragar S/S wheels. They have chrome steel rims with chromed aluminum centers (like the original Cragar S/S's)

On my '66 Caprice, I have 17" Cragar FORGED S/S wheels. They are one-piece forged aluminum and they look a little different than the ones Bumpa has. They're actually made by Weld. Here's a pic of one of my rears- 17x8 with 4.5" bs:

Edit- oh yeah, they have a soft lip too (rounded edge near the tire). It looks cool but you can't get your car aligned with these wheels because they can't hang the alignment heads on them.
