i did a little searching and found that the fenders for a 85-92 firebird are the same as the 87-92 formula and GTA, and 91-92 trans am. so my question is: would a 89 GTA front bumper cover fit on a 88 firebird without modifying the rest of the body? if so, then can you also use the ground effects as well?

 

Yep, but remember its not just the front peace, you need the side skirts before the front tires, then the rest of the install is just drill some holes and clamp on the trim pieces.
