I am trying to temove the door panel on my 92 camaro. I have done this with no problems before but now the elctric window motor is broken and I cannot roll the window down. Is it still possible to remove the dorr panel?

shouldnt be a problem at all. just pull up on the door panel once you have all the clips loose and pull the inner belt molding loose and youre all set. well you have to take all the rest of the stuff off first, lol.

Removing the door pane is really no problem. You might have to push in toward the window at the top so that the panel will snap out. It is more difficult if the window is up.
Replacing the motor is another thing. I have done it twice now. The window regulator is probably rivoted to the door frame. I had to drill mine out. I highly recommend removing the regulator and motor assembly as one piece. Then you can work on the motor safely. Be real careful of the spring on the regulator.
Good luck....

are you sure it's the motor? Check the wiring first. My windows stopped going down on me but i can hotwire them to work - so the motors obviously work. As soon as it get a little bit warmer (better than 10 degrees) im gonna fix that..

Then hot wire your window in the down position, then you can take your door panel off with less chance of ruining it.Your problem could be your switches as far as yor window not working or a fuse.Originally posted by Rabbitt

He is not the one asking about removing the door panel. And if he could get to the motor to hot wire it, he would not need to worry about trying to remove the door panel with the window up.

It’s a Pain in the A$$ to take the panel off with the window up. I drilled out the rivets with the panel on. I mean I got the bottom off then tweaked myself between the door and the panel "it sucked" then I let the window down by hand then took off the top of the panel. I have done both motors driver and passenger and now the passenger again what ever you do don’t buy 11.95 Jap crap off Ebay mine lasted a year right after the warranty ran out. I think the driverside is going too I what the Kill people for selling crap on Ebay you only want to do a window motor once in a lifetime 4 times is crazy. Sorry just need to vent a little, back to the motor.

Guess you learned "you get what you pay for" the hard way? lol. The stock replacements, new, cost a bit, but would you rather have a 50 dollar one to change once every 15 years, or a 14.99 one to change once a year? I'd rather spend more money now than later personally Originally posted by EriksonFL
