trying to find carpet

anyone know of a company that makes or can make any type of carpet for any vehicle you like?

i'm trying to find a basic flat black for carpet which is impossible. neither acc nor any of the other molded carpets can get a consistent layout of this color. acc sent me 3 samples of their 801 black and they were all different. i need a very specific color and thread count so if anyone knows of a shop that does something like this could you please let me know.

I saw a place that advertised on Ebay for their 80/20 carpet but when you went to the website they also had an upgrade to the 1000 series carpet.

It wasn't one of the big name guys and I have not seen them on Ebay again. This was about 3-4 weeks ago

I will keep looking, I need black the same as you and want 1000 series vs 800.

ACS and stockinteriors.com also do what your describing. the real problem is they can not guarantee an actual shade of black and all of the molded companies like the ones above and ACC have very different versions of the black. after seeing some cars over the weekend here at world of wheels and noticing the finer thread content 1000 isn't enough for what i want to do and i have to know exactly what shade of black i'm getting.

Have a look at the place that Gerry(Iroc2NV) mentioned.
Website is www.nosreproductions.com They are out of Komoka, Ontario so depending on where in Michigan you are they could be within an hour of you. They are 35 minutes from Port Huron to give you an idea. The website doesn't give as much info as one might like but does elude to them having a wide variety of carpets both in terms of quality and colours. I think the TRUvette one in black might be good for what I need.

Anyways, I have them sending me samples of the best black they have and then the OEM black for my '87 Iroc to compare the differences. I like this idea as I can pick it up on the 23rd as I am going right by there. That way I know what I am getting.

good luck with it

"801 black" really means "we have 801 different shades of black, and we promise you'll get one of them, and be pissed off in the end."

I know Car Motor Sports makes a higher thread count carpet for our cars. Their carpet isn't like the carpet everyone else sells. You might want to check them out and ask what they can offer for you. I've contacted them in the past and they're good about getting back to you.

so long as they do not have variations in their carpet that sounds nice. that would put them roughly 1 hour from me which is not bad at all. the problem with places like ACC and the others i mentioned is they have alot of variations of their color. they sent a sample that would have worked for me but when i sent the good and bad one to show them they told me there was no way to guarantee the color i got would match the sample. so in the end what's the point of even sending a sample??

i had a sample from them, and it does not match my carpet. i have several friends with trucks, cars, etc, that have ordered from ACC. ive yet to see the same color.
they should call it "black variation" instead.
if i ever pulled my interior, i think i would look into some better carpeting.
my stock carpet was very heavy. i bet you the ACC stuff front and rear dont weigh 3#. i acutally cleaned my stock cargo carpet, and installed the ACC over it. was so thin, it looked like i had put a black sheet back there. it looks really nice doubled up, and keeps the tone of the muffler down.
sorry to rant, but ive been there. i know you want nice stuff, so i wouldnt recommend the ACC.
good luck.

If they are an hour from you then you can do what I plan to do which is go to pick it up. That way I can check the whole thing out prior to paying them.

I am going there on the 23rd so if you are not looking before then I will re-post how I make out.
