Best a-pillar pod... and what to put in it!

Ok, I have bought one of those universal ones in the past (that you form to your current one with a heat gun) and I don't want to deal with all that again!

So, what's the best perfect fit dual gauge pod? I have an Autometer NOS gauge now, and I was thinking an EGT gauge or something like that. What do you recommend?

I have the Autometer one and it fits great. haven't had any trouble with it. for gauges i have a transmission temp gauge, air/fuel ratio and a vacuum gauge.

Hmm, air/fuel might be a good one to have too... so I think I'll get the tripple!

It fit fine? Happen to know the part number or where you got it from?

I ordered it directly from autometer (i was a manager for Checker Auto Parts at the time) i believe the part # was 12203 that is for a t-top car, a hardtop car had a different part #

I ordered one from Jegs for a hardtop car and got one for a T-Top car even though the box said it was for a Hardtop car. I later found this out when I had to do alot of trimming and modifing to get it to fit.

Then when Jegs got the new Hardtop part # I ordered it and still got the same one and it fit like one for a T-Top car. I sent it back and they told me that it should of fit. Well obviously it didn't because it was hitting my dashpad, thus still had 2" more before it would line up correctly.

I am now thinking of getting a dual full pillar pod. I liked the tripple one but I since sold some gauges and now are left with 2.

Point of the story - Make sure it fits correctly before ordering any gauges. Don't modify it if you don't like the fit because you well end up not liking it just as I did.
