Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror Repair

I have an auto dimming mirror in my '88 GTA. The mirror itself is cracked but the rest of the mirror and housing looks good. Is there anyway to have the mirror glass replaced? These are not the easiest to find so I am open to any suggestions. Thanks.

I repaired one of those. Not the mirror part but the mechanical part.Had to replace those little drive belts that get worn and loose.I believe you could replace just the mirror part. The trick is really to get the mirror apart to begin with. The plastic case snaps apart and getting it seperated without breaking it is a real trick.I think it is the same size mirror as a normal rearview mirror so if you could get it out cleanly(it has to be glued in somehow to the mechanical moving part) you could just reglue the new one in place of the broken one.It can be done if you are good at improvising and are patient and careful. Those mirrors are seriously cool and the amazing part is aside from being ridiculously overcomplicated they actually work like a charm.Remember to clean the little optical sensor windows when you have it apart, and put a touch of light grease on the worm gears.

If you are not concerned with keeping it 100% original, then get a Gentex mirror. There aren't any moving parts and as long as you don't want the ones with a compass and outside temp display, they can be had for cheap on eBay. Just an idea, sorry I don't have any info concerning your specific question.
